Visit to Wales by Irish Minister of State at the Department of Health

The Cabinet Secretary for Housing and Local Government met with the Irish Minister of State at the Department of Health with responsibility for Older People and the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. The meeting was an informal discussion on housing issues. The evening before the First Minister joined the Irish Minister at the annual St Patrick’s Day reception in Cardiff.

 

World Health Organisation – High Level Policy Dialogue on Well-being Economy and Health in Practice in Cardiff

The First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Services attended the event, alongside Health Ministers from Scotland, Iceland and Finland. The purpose of the event was to provide a forum for discussion, collaboration and future action with other members of the Wellbeing Economy Government partnership.

First Minister visit to Brussels

The First Minister travelled to Brussels for St David’s Day. During the visit the First Minister met with Wind Europe, Horizon Europe and Welsh Universities and the EU Ambassador to the UK. In the evening the First Minister hosted a reception to celebrate St David’s Day.

 

First Minister visit to Paris

The First Minister travelled to Paris for St David’s Day. During the visit the First Minister addressed a conference marking International Women’s Day, met with ENGIE, the UK Ambassador to UNESCO. In the afternoon the First Minister attended an UNESCO networking reception, held an investor round table with the UK Ambassador, met with the CEO of EDF and held a bilateral with representatives from Brittany. In the evening the First Minister hosted a reception to celebrate St David’s Day.

 

Cabinet Secretary for Transport & North Wales visit to Ireland

The Cabinet Secretary travelled to Dublin to hold discussions on the resilience of sea connectivity between Wales and Ireland following the temporary closure of Holyhead Port.

 

Minister for Culture and Social Partnership visit to San Francisco

The Minister travelled to San Francisco to support a trade mission to the Game Developers Conference, the world’s largest annual gathering of gaming industry professionals.
